​Having sold beverages in the dryest deserts, at the edge of the arctic circle, in tropical jungles, in the biggest cities on earth and the most remote rural communities, I've learned many truths:

​Mark is a career beverage industry veteran, most recently serving as Managing Director of International & Pacific for Purple Brands, a top 30 US wine & spirits producer where he handled the global export business in addition to the domestic distribution network across the Western US. Prior to that he worked in both domestic and international sales with Delicato Family Wines, a top 5 US winery, with specific focus on the US Southwest and "The Americas" to include Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and other Latin American markets.

All of this started when Mark answered an ad in the local newspaper for a part-time job at a wine shop owned by Andrew Peller Limited and the spark was ignited. After graduating university Mark moved into territory sales and then sales and marketing management on the imported side of the business in Canada working closely with industry leading producers from around the world including Constellation Brands, Baron Philippe de Rothschild, Robert Mondavi Winery, Zonin, D'Arenberg, Symington Family Wines and Pol Roger to name a few.

Along the way Mark owned and operated his own craft beer & wine shop and taproom carrying over 1,000 different beers, 400 different wines and pouring 81 rotating draught taps.
​
Mark is a dual US/Canadian citizen based in the Phoenix, Arizona area where he loves the desert living and adventures with his wife, two teenage kids and their year-old goldendoodle puppy.

Why "Ministry of Beverage"? The beer and wine shop Mark owned was called Kings Beer & Wine. Mark and his wife grew up in Canada, and the shop name reminded them of the Canadian/British parliamentary system of government​​​​ where the departments are called Ministries: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, etc. So, when forming the corporate legal entity the name Ministry of Beverage was chosen. Although the shop has long been sold, the company and the name live on!
